I've been bursting with creative energy for about a month. When it started, I went to a local paper craft store and bought myself two sketchbooks. That, combined with my daily doodling at work on any surface available to me, held me over until last night. Last night I was visiting howaboutorange.com and found a tutorial that was so me, I had to try it. But, ya know, not at that instant as it was a work night and I was rather sleepy.
I get to work this morning when I remember what I wanted to do. I shoot off this email to Shawn:

Are you going to be near any stores today? I need Mod Podge. You can get it at like Pat Catan's or Michael's or Hobby Lobby.
He hardly ever replies to emails so I go about my morning and almost forget about the Mod Podge all together. I wander away from my desk and come back to this email:

Subject: Re:wtf? wtf is mod podge? you made that up so that i would look like an ass by asking for something called mod podge. mod podge. gtfo. nice try.
AND THEN I DIED. I nearly wet myself from laughing so hard. Perhaps you need to know Shawn to appreciate his response, but to me, it was priceless.
Anyway, he got me Mod Podge. Because he loves me. Step two was stopping at a scrapbooking store in Strongsville to get American Crafts paper. I've been crushing on this pattern and thought it'd be adorable on a couple of bull clips. But it was not meant to be, as the scrapbooking store is closed. For good, I'm guessing. Oh, economy, you're such a bitch.
The good news is that I happen to have a bunch of paper left over from misc projects. So I made two little batches of bull clips. AND I'M KINDA IN LOVE.
BEHOLD:
The big one was still drying when I took the picture. It's covered in handmade paper so it's quite thick, but you can't beat that beautiful texture!
And then here we have one big and three tinys. The pattern just called
for me to only use the three tinys in solid colors. I don't know why.
I've
stopped covering office supplies in paper for now. I'll start again
tomorrow. Because, you see, I was at work all day and am rather sleepy.
Which band or artist which is no longer performing or alive would you have loved to have seen?

Queen with Freddie Mercury on vocals.
Have you ever tracked down any of your old high school friends and fellow students?
Submitted by campsite2007.
Isn't that what MySpace is all about? Seriously. I have about 15 old high school classmates on that list. I don't do too much "tracking down," though. That seems a bit intense.
I started talking to my best friend from high school again a little over a year ago through comments on LiveJournal. We actually reconnected and picked up our friendship again. It was refreshing. Ahhh, the internetsss.
- How many times have you moved in your lifetime?
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you go?
- Do you own or rent your home?
- What is the furthest distance you have moved?
- Show us something around your house.
1. By the time I was 11, I'd moved nine times. After that I moved out of my parents at 18, into a different apartment at 19, and into our house at 22. So I've moved 12 times in my life. This isn't the house I plan to spend the rest of my life in, so I'll probably move at least one more time before retirement...
2. I used to say Alaska. I love Alaska. So pretty, so serene. Now, though, I say Ohio. I wouldn't leave. I enjoy the weather for the most part, the shopping is pretty decent, and most importantly my family is here. I wouldn't want to take my children away from my family.
3. Own.
4. When I was 18 I exerted my independence and moved about 40 miles away from home. Stayed there for four years, until we decided to buy a home. When it came time to buy, though, I moved right back into my hometown.
5. The inspiration potholder behind the kitchen redo.
How well does your name Google? Who are you up against? (Celebrities, etc.)
Submitted by Matt Blank.
Well, when I first Googled my name, about a year ago, I got a tombstone of a woman with my exact first and last name. Today I Googled and was relieved not to find the same image. Instead I found another tombstone. Lovely.
As far as celebrities, Maggie Gyllenhaal is the only one that came up. The rest of the links were random blogs and one wedding gown designer. Exciting.
What's that secret dream job you've always believed you'd be good at, but never gone for?
Submitted by wedgeh.
Interior Designer. Unfortunately I hated college and the idea of going back makes me want to hurt someone. I've been kicking around the idea for a year or two, though. It may actually be something I end up doing. Eventually. Part of me wants to believe I'd enjoy art school. The other part hates that the closest art school is two hours away!
Show the world what fuels you!

It was a toss up between the children and Diet Rockstar... But in the end, the kids are the driving force behind my life. The Rockstar is more of a fuel additive.

Neat. read more
